this just keeps getting better... -
That seems like it would be dangerous, but I'm not a physician. The best place to get advice is from the prescribing physician and the DOT. Also understand that carriers can and do have their own standards which are usually much more strict. I doubt you'd find any carrier (or DOT) that would allow you to take those meds prior to or during operating a CMV. My pal who took lortabs was running short haul and was home most nights, which also helped because he was able to take the drug at night and if he felt like it was still active in his system or he was still hurting when he woke up, he could call out for the day. You can't do that when you're under JIT freight / priority loads. At least not if you want to last long in the job. Take care. PS: Google "kratom for pain" and consider trying it instead of the oxy.jhavard Thanks this.

Same here except I take 5/325.........what people dont understand is when used properly and having used it for awhile, you have a tolerance built up and the effects are no more then a Tylenol but the pain relief is far far above taking a Tylenol

Going to really boil down to the individual as to how long it actually stays in your system. My wife got hurt on the job so we got a hotel for a few days because she had to take pain meds. The safety director at the time said she had to wait 24hrs after her last dose before she could pass a DOT pee pee test and it would be safe for her to drive. Also going to depend on how long you had been taking the meds for. Pain meds are not like smoking pot though and they get out of your system a lot faster.

Exactly. Ive ben on them for over 2 yrs. They have absolutly no affect what so ever on any of my motor skills. All they do is make the pain tolerable enough to keep it off my mind for a few hours.losttrucker Thanks this.

the new law is that the collection takers can not ask you any questions about the meds your on during your pee test the mro will ask you via the phone # you put on the form you sign he will call you up ask what your on (he will know its adderall not meth) you tell him the meds your on with the namde and # of your pharmacy he will call them then make sure he calls you back saying he cleared you and then tell him you told the company you were going to work for you are on addys and he will clear you.......
