Depends on where you drive, you [sadly] may have plenty of time to study online while waiting for a dispatch to another short load with a long lead time. But if you're somewhere they can keep you moderately busy, don't expect more than about maybe an hour or two each day for study time while the wheels need to be stopped.
-
I was thinking about that too. I suppose it depends on the course,,, do you have to be online at a certain time? I've never taken any online courses, but I was under the impression that you have to "show up" at a certain time. If that's the case, I don't see how it could ever work unless you were able to schedule your off duty time. I was hoping I would be able to do online courses for math, english, etc,, and get those out of the way. Then take a year off (or find a night/home every day job)to finish any lab courses. I'm definitely going to talk to some colleges about that and see if something like that is at all possible.

I know the university I am with Herzing. They say your assignment arw due.by a certain date
-
It goes by the course outline. You might start a class but alot of courses are swlf pace as long as they are finish by the determined date
-
I think a lot has to do with the major. If you're taking something that allows for audio-books, like English or History, it might be great. If you're a math major and need lots of time with pencil and paper or a chemistry major who needs a lot of lab time, probably not so much.

My major is Business Management. I really want to finish. Then get 6 to 8 years under my belt and start my own company some day
-
You might be better off starting your own company today and growing it for 6 to 8 years. Might get better results, be further along. Are you talking about starting a trucking company?
-
My wife is completing a masters program. Many, or maybe all, of her classes were group classes needing contact time with all members.
So you should pull refrigerated. You will spend 4-8 hours sitting at shippers and receivers!

Its not impossible but its going to be extremely stressful...especially after a week of running hard with that assignment that is due my midnight. I just don't think its a great idea while learning to drive. Once you are comfortable behind the wheel and know how to plan your days it may be easier
evd Thanks this.
