Why are ALL companies these days OBSESSED with the concept that a driver, no matter his experience level, grossing more than $850 a week on a steady basis is just UNACCEPTABLE. We're supposed to just be jumping for joy for really lousy checks two weeks out of three. I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick to death of it.

The definition of insanity is trying the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results.

Try something different which doesn't include a big/large/mega fleet. Try a job @ a ltl carrier. Try a job with a private fleet.

you have 8 years experience, why are you still trying to make a career with these "starter" companies? Its time to move on. The grass is greenier on the other side

$850 is a bad week for me. You may want to expand your horizons a bit. Last week: $1536. This week: $1082. I average $1000 or better every week. So should every driver.

    sevenmph and HwyPrsnr Thank this.

Here's another question real quick. How many jobs have you been through the last few years? I ask that because it takes a while to build a comfortable relationship with any company. If you leave before that relationship is built, then you don't know how a carrier actually is to drive for. Something to think about.

I won't ever lease a truck. I'm a company driver. I don't even think we have a lease program here. If we do, that's new to me. My last 4 pay weeks: this week 2812, 3537, 2759,2713. Those are the miles I have run in the last 4 weeks, every pay over $1000. It also includes stop pay.
