Carrkool, thanks for the information. I will keep that in mind. my brother had to quit for a short while for personal reasons and when he called them they put him right back in a truck. He stays around 2500 miles. what were you averaging for miles. I will be in the Midwest area. is that where your dispatcher was or out of Montana?

Best of luck with the lawyer. I would say you will be lucky to get the cost of the ring back. Then he will take a cut. You would have been better off to use the money to buy a new ring.Pinkratjr and Leftlane101 Thank this.
-
I buy my rings on the cheap, mostly because I'm not smart enough to take them off when I go swimming. Turns out it's nearly impossible to find a black ring on the bottom of a lake in the iron range of MN.
Hey you guys should switch to eLogs and hire me to train everyone and manage them. -
Mine was $100. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to fall off. Maybe that was because I have spent the last 6 years getting fatter. I have been going to the gym and getting in shape for the last couple months...so maybe I will be losing rings in the near future.
I am sure there will be an opportunity in the future for us to work together. I am still running software from the 80's. I am not sure we are ready to join the rest of you in the 21st centuty.
...and sorry to all potential Decker drivers for hijacking your thread. I'll sum it up for you...work hard, have a good attitude, and keep your nose clean and you will do well at Decker (or any other company). Expect something for nothing, complain, fail to do your job and be professional and you will be on here posting about how (insert name of trucking company) screwed you.Leftlane101, Dryver, Meltom and 1 other person Thank this. -
+1 cpape. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Decker wants professional drivers that get the job done with no fuss or BS. Pick up and deliver on time, look after the equipment, don't get any violations and you will do well. If you are in any way a typical company drivers that his high maintenance and has a lot to say for yourself stay away. Decker knows who the good drivers are by how they do the job and not by what they have to say.
-
Decker is just like Landstar or Wolf Pak(out of PA), you must be a very clean driver and go by the green book... well, then possible. I pulled one load for Decker and was told up front,
I did, Decker paid decently for that load. After the drop off I called to confirm they got the bills, then I proceeded to say that I would maybe do business again in the future. That's Decker, they want driver's that aren't total slobs.
And your spelling, amazes me Decker was able to read your application.
Leftlane101 Thanks this. -
If decker wanted such good drivers sure would think they would pay them more!
decker west reefer starting pay .32 to .35 a mile INCLUDING .08 mile per diem!!!!!!!!!!!
figure out what your really makin a mile. other reefer division only couple more cents per mile.
came right off there web site. also see there reefer o/p on milage now. used to be a good % plan. -
this was not a moving or vehicle cititation nor a criminal or misdemnor. and no i am not required nor does it show on my record the cititation. how they found it i dont know. i did tell them about it at the start and asked where i should place it and was told than if it will not be on my record and was not a criminal charge not to...as for the company policy well their so called policy is a 3 step policy a warning write up time off than fired. i got none of that i just got a message reroute to missoula for a repower truck #### is out of hours and you will be covering his load. when i got there i got removed from the property with out my belongings now my 400 wedding band is gone my bluetooth and a few tools. i had to wait for 4 hours for family to drive out to get me. than when we went to pick up my belongs i noticed my antenna where not there and the was seatiing in the lot with no antennas on it. finally a mechaince went into the mechaine room and came out with them. still no sign of the ring or bluetooth. again this cititation is not listed on my driving or criminal background and show me how i am a liar...

I was late on one load and that load was a mistype by jason in dispatch who showed the load deliveried on monday when it really was on sunday otherwise everyload i was at miin 12hours early on i had only one load of mine repowered due to a break down inwhich i could have still made otd but they had already dispatched another truck so i grabbed and empty and beat him to the stop to pick up my next load. i took every load given to me all i asked was to get some more miles.....i even worked on my truck when it had issues like shorts in the headlights. i wanted poll lights they had them but didnt have time to install so i did it myself. i had a leaky vavle stem. i changed it myself reseated the tire and aired it up myself. i tried to keep the truck out of the shop as much as possible...

Sir if you communicate with Decker the way you communicate here the answers are simple. No offense but as a small trucking company I would not hire you just because of your lack of communication skills. You may be a nice enough person but 1st impressions really do matter. Maybe you should try cleaning that area up since it just makes all other parts look bad whether they are or not. YOU limit yourself.
Fade15 Thanks this.
