Unfortunately, I'm a swiftie. But not for long! Family has a small fleet on with landstar, just gotta get my foot in the door. They seem to get me home every time I ask, usually I take 3-4 days once a month but I always take hometime in Phoenix. The miles aren't great, and the pay is horrible plus big brother is watching my every move and loves to jump to conclusions before understanding anything about the situation. Only a few more months I guess.
Why do so many newbies disappear after they hit the road?

I LOVE elogs. No more adding it up wrong! LOL
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Can't tell if that's sarcasm or not!!! I like Elogs. Did paper logs for 2 months in training along with the elogs, and it was a pain in the ###. I drive legally, so it doesn't bother me. I did notice that I'd save around 2 hours a week on Elogs tho.

I was being honest not sarcastic. I have trouble adding up to many of the 1/4 hours. Linda

As I said before, once it becomes a job, they lose interest in posting. And a lot of them won't ask questions on here because some ####### who has been a driver FOR A WHOLE YEAR will start in on them.
I find all sorts of interesting discussions on here, and every once in a while, there are hilarious threads that make me laugh my balls off

I know for me my situation is a bit differant...ND has the absolute worst cel & internet service and connectivity ...I was so geatful when I found TTR in 2010the and absorbed a TON of info before I started driving....I have peeked in a few times after I started driving but honestly after a day of run'n up and down battery stairs (25 steps up and 25down down) hahah and dragging hose on sometimes 4x4 terain I'm pooped but Ii love it...plus all my internet stuff is on a 2x3 phone that has a mind of it's own at times...hopefully TX will be more llikke civilization hahah..I know I'm still a noobie but it's all good cuz I'm enjoying soaking up new and valuable info & advise..now if I could just find that perfect mascara hahaha Best of luck to all new and old
flyboynme Thanks this. -
That's an easy one. Way easy. Just run your finger over the fifth wheel and you have a finger load of mascara!
gdyupgal and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
My success has desperately depended on my attitude and my constant teamwork with my DM and FM. I stay on them, I make sure I get paid and I make sure my wheels are rolling anytime I have hours. I haven't had a week since switching to Marten that I have made less than 900 take home dollars.
I did my 12-13 months with Knight. I didn't break 18k gross my first year. Lesson learned. I was too lenient with them and just took what they gave me.
I'm not pushy, but I won't roll onto my back and show my belly, either.
If you're a pusher that wants to roll hard and can't get your miles... find another avenue. That's what I did.RebelChick, NavigatorWife, CAXPT and 2 others Thank this.
