Well... it looks like because I went through hell for this nation I can't make a decent living. I was diagnosed with ptsd and given a disability rating of 70%...but apparently some doc over at werner decided after seeing my dd214 that I would be an unsafe driver...I've driven for other companies...my doc signed off that I was fine to drive...I dunno. Screw it. Va won't raise my disability pay...I can't go find decent work... I guess me and my family have to live in poverty...########...
denied employment bc im a vet who has ptsd

I collect for my PTSD and im driving. Talk to the VA about this because im pretty sure this can be looked at as discrimination of some type. I have a large list of other things I am collecting for and none of which held me back.

Who do you work for? I am strongly considering it. They wouldn't tell me why they rejected me..but it was
Right after it got back from the med review...he said for my protection he couldn't release me the information... so they covered their tracks... -
What's on your DD214 that would disqualify you from employment? Are any of the meds your taking narcotic based? I am not looking for the answer, just some things to think about.Last edited by a moderator: Aug 10, 2012

They probably found other issues with your health,, maybe something you forgot to tell them.
Heck, when I came home from war and had issues,, they just spit on us,, Vietnam Vets STILL get crap'd on. -
No I don't take meds...they sent a paper to my doc asking what my diagnosis is bc of my 70 % retirement...by law I didn't think they could even ask this but what do I know...

But, if your really getting discriminated against for PTSD, then I'd think you would have issues to discuss with an attorney and should pursue the issue and NOT let them get away with it. -
Listen pal an employer does not need to see your 214, and it is nobodys business about your disibility pay. Give as little info as possible. The only way being a vet or DAV will help is gov jobs. Companies talk #### about hire the vet to make them sound suppoted but they don't give a crap. If they rejected you for PTSD it is discrimination, they cannot ask you about any disibilities. The only way is if you open the ball. NEVER mention any disibilities ever.
producelove85, WideSkyND, MNdriver and 1 other person Thank this.
