If driving 300 miles to visit relatives on Christmas is hard for you and boring, stay far away from trucking. For some people, it's second nature to sit and drive 10 hours/day, 6 day/wk and if you're going to be a truck driver, you better be one of those some people.

For OTR either you love to drive or keep looking for a different Career/Job.
Maybe a local gig might be ok if you don't like to drive, never really done local. -
It's never boring, drivers do enough stupid stuff around you to keep you entertained.
starmac, skellr and RALPHMANBEARPONY Thank this. -
It all depends. When you have traffic you don't have time to be bored. Late at night in the middle of nowhere it can be. But drivers have all kinds of tricks to entertain the brain.

If I get bored I have my Bluetooth call friends and family members,by the time I know I covered several hundred miles.

I can see how the casual person might think it's boring, but it's not.

I love to drive. I never get bored as I drive through Houston everyday there a hundreds of people to laugh at. I see things that just make you wonder how people make it from point a to point b without killing themselves or someone else. You just gotta enjoy it

I love to drive! I could get in a vehicle and drive till it needed fuel, I am a fairly observant driver, I am always find things to look at out on the road but you have to keep the scan going or you will crash it, I look for old cars around the lots and homesteads, I make note where they are along the way and then try to stop in anmd chat with the owners, I then ask if they would sell it for a good offer then I notify my connections and get a finders fee!!
Rideandrepair and YoungGuns Thank this.
