Hi, I read alot here but havn't posted much. I just ran into an issue today and need to fix it by tomorrow if possible. I was driving and my cruise control wouldn't work. When I parked I found the brake lights stuck in the on position. If I bleed off all the air the brake lights go out. If I start the truck the cruise won't work to bring up the RPM even immediatley with "no" air built up yet. Brake lights come on almost immediately as well. Can anyone help me out with this issue? Thanks!

Make sure your Johnson bar is all the way up. I think you younger drivers call it a trolly valve, or trailer brake valve.

Your brake pedal pivot could be froze up and holding pressure on the foot valve plunger which would cause both problems. Try pulling up on the brake pedal with your hand.

Also, your floor mat under your brake pedal will cause all of the things your describing....

i had one where the handvalve was backbleeding into the system, making it act as if it were partially pulled down. if that s the case you can bypass it.

Thank for the reply. I did discover the johnson bar was slighty on after I wrote the post. That solved the problem.
