datalink problem

had such a problem, datalink codes and thing failing here and there as roll down the hwy. these were just warnings before truck finally shut down dead!...after getting assigned a dock at a shippers. all pro drivers in the shippers yard plus yard driver tried things but nothing worked!
I called dealer (luckily 10 miles away) and they sent a trainee tech who could not figure out problem. He recommended a tow to shop($550). Got into shop's express lane. I waited in drivers lounge for diagnostics trying to find a nearby hotel from yellow pages.
In less than 30 minutes I was called by foreman to pay for a job and ..guess what?..it was done......corroded wiring/harness around battery area, big fuse at the battery was badly corroded, wires broken at several points due to corrosion , etc
check and clean your batteries and wiring regularly. Use anti.corrosion sprays($4 walmart) are best for maintaining battery arean, check and tighten battery terminals accordingly.
