I wonder if your Dr. has a little Toyota in mind when he said you can drive, or did he even think of an 80,000lb truck filled with haz mat?
Don't get me wrong I want nothing but the best for you but not at the expense of public safety!
You know your moods better than anyone, would you hire someone with a 70% for PTSD and put them in a truck?

    CAXPT Thanks this.

That would be nice, but who's going to pay for it? All vet's know what's the deal is when they sign on the line and for the most part the gvmt stands behind it. You get whats owed to you ,no more and no LESS!

    Duffield and CAXPT Thank this.

I hate to say anything at all but, first I am a combat veteran from Vietnam. SS, PH. I understand what you are going through but, there is no way in hell I would hire someone that is drawing a 70% disability. I would think that either you are disabled mentally and I am not going to put you in a truck or you are faking it and I don't want you working for me.

I know that is harsh but I believe that is the way employers think. I would advise you to talk to the VA and get approval for you to work driving a truck or get a 100% disability.

    CAXPT Thanks this.

I collect mine and take it because of the time I have to take away from work for appointmemts for tje VA to assist them in there study to further understand PTSD and tramatic brain injuries....

I have a very narrow view.If you were'nt on the front lines getting rocked by IEDS, ambushes, coming close to death and fighting your way back to a patrol base, i dont want to hear your cool stories. Take a number.

I can understand Milskired, and Cenutry's points. I have been deployed 5 times, and like I said, It made me see things in a new light. I do have to adjust to many things after coming home, but thats normal. I choose not to hit the VA up for money. I got my combat pay while I was there. I'm pretty sure I can go to the VA in 6 months when I get out, and live off others. I would think that would be a slap in the face to any soldier that does have a ligament claim. After my years in service, and seeing what I have, I feel blessed that I can watch my child grow up. I understand that you served your country, and im in your corner. However, there are many out there living off others, and I have no respect for them. ah, work is calling.....

Things today have changd so much in the hiring process.

In 30+ years, I never had to show my dd214, or claim my disability.

    Good Luck,

and Thank You for your service to our country !!

I'm sorry I still disagree with you. At will has nothing to do with Right to Work. They are two seperate laws. One deals with the company's hiring and employing practices where there no liability. IOW's a company does not need to discriminate when they have the right to not even give a reason for not hioring or firing a worker. And the other deals with your right to work without being forced into a union. Please Sir, read the definitions of the two seperate laws. Wikipedia has good definitions for both. Until you recognize the difference we'll get no where.
