Does anyone have information on Carter Express Inc.?

I don't work there.... But the work I do is affiliated with them. This wouldn't be about local work or team work outta vandalia oh.... Would it? From what I know.... They treat there drivers good. Just seems like there pay is a little low in my opinion....

 

I work for BD.... Lol. Carter has been trying to get our drivers to come over. Problem is they want us to take a pay cut. About $2 an hour the way I figure. Carter is suppose to be getting all new trucks for these runs. So thats a plus.

 

Yeah I think I am going over because bd it seems is in trouble.For years they have had good runs but as time went on they keep losing them to other companies and the pay is dropping. They finally started a bonus program when they found they are losing drivers to Carter and then find any reason not to give it. Seems no one there knows what the hell is going on half the time.My advice since I do not know Carter except what I have read online and so far all is good,take it and go team because they pay better on that than bd.I will be surprised if bd is around in 10 more years.

Idk if BD is trouble... John is a good businessman. He just bought a bunch of new trucks. So i dont see him letting them sit. I run local. But I know the teams are making $250 a day per person. So I bet Carter is paying less than that. Tambam8... Lmk if are hearing different. Carter bid that Toyota stuff lower than Transfreight had it. That's why they want the local drivers to take a pay cut in my opinion. I haven't been ask to take a pay cut. We just got a raise in april... And now a bonus program is rolling out. I'm staying put... See what happens. Gotta give BD the benefit of the doubt.

 

I do want to say something positive though.The owner and his wife are good people I really think but too nice when bidding and base their company on too much religion and allow others to cut their runs from out under them.Not that their is anything wrong with their faith but using it in business makes you vulnerable to take over like they are seeing.
