Ok due to lack of time, I am not able to search previous threads to where this guy is working so can someone fill me in? I just remember reading a thread where he had applied to LTL companies for years and then finally got hired and that was only 4 months ago, what changed? Were they misleading about pay? equipment? hometime? hours worked? Doesn't make a lot of sense if you knew going in what your pay was going to be and you were going to do the same thing everyday. Is it just me or does it seem like too many ppl are so quick to throw in the towel?

I've always been in AT's Corner. Hoping he will find the right career in trucking and not just a job. I see that you stated that you were out 7 weeks and made 3 times the money. But you also made a comment about the "weekday warrior". I am curious how much you made by staying out 7 weeks? Around 49 days correct? You are a company driver are you not? Looking forward to your responce.

Hiring managers typically look past a few job changes at your age. It really just comes down to trying to find yourself and figure out what makes you happy. Drinking and boating aside, you seemed a lot happier and were saving a lot more money when you were OTR.

you noticed that too huh? lol ya i've been thinking the same thing...but i wanna give this whole local stuff a shot, see if theres a way to have the best of both worlds...i doubt it but i want to be able to say i tried. My biggest problem with going back OTR is with who and pull what? I loved LoneStar and the money was insane but they are on E-Logs now and are switching to plastic petes and KW's from the good ol 379's and flatbedding was fun. I donno what i wanna do yet, im lost lol

E-logs ain't that bad. Keep the left door shut you can still run well over 600 miles a day usually.
