This is for my fiance we have a son who is three and would really like to find a company with the best hometime that will hire a fresh out of school graduate from Northeast TN. Obviously being a trucker your not going to be home much unless its a local job but most places want that 1-2 Years experience. We have looked into averitt, TMC, BTC, Maverick and some more. Anyway unless there are companies that can give you more hometime than most weekends please list some that I haven't named that do give you most weekends. Also some that during training you get to be home averitt allows you to be home during training tmc and btc say only if your trainer lives near you. Also if anyone knows of companies that would allow a 3 year old along I could care less abt hometime. I know of only 3 companies that allow this and you have to either go to their school or have 6 months experience. Those are Crete, hunt, and Shaffer. Please no bashing just really looking for something to get him home or with us the most he can be.

From the sound of it, you're saying "most weekends" isn't enough? Honestly, just starting out on OTR if you can get more than 4 days a month you're ahead of the curve. Don't forget though, home time costs money. Not just because you're taking days off, but also because the week leading up to and following home time is usually slow unless you live in a good place for freight.
Best of luck to you and your fiancé.TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
Try Star Transport in Morton, IL. Average home 3 out of 4 weekends per month.

Oil Fields, home nightly and good money,of course you would probably have to relocate.

You all really should have looked at the hometime issue BEFORE he went to school!!! If he has a chance at a job that says they can get him home MOST weekends AND they are willing to put it in writing, he better sign on ASAP!! Our recruiters 'say' 3-4 days every 3-4 weeks, but unless you live along one of our major shipping lanes you are out of luck!!
As for allowing a 3 year old to 'ride along', he will probably need to buy his own truck, or find someone that has a small fleet that will hire him.
Best of luck. -
Take a look at Roehl transport, they some real good hometime fleets. I drive for them and really like it good people. PM if you want for Q and A

oil fields at least he could work 3 and be home one not great but if he were to relocate they do a 5-1 or 5-2 in some cases and be home to sleep
