Definately think before you respond.... please. I never said anything about doing anything based on emotion. ALL I was saying is people don't mess with people unless they think or know they are defenseless as we are. If they gave us back our constitutinal right to bear arms, then most of us wouldn't carry a gun, but people wouldn't mess with truckers as much, because they would think that we possibly could be. THATS ALL I AM SAYING..... nothing about acting on emotion or harming anyone. Dear god, you people are making my head hurt.

i totally agree with ya ,prisoner. it is just scary to think what the "CB rambo's" might do if they could hide behind a gun instead of a mike.

Out of everything else that was said, you happened to cherry-pick ONE part of it to prove you're opinion is the right one.

"An armed Society is a Polite Society". In reality, the CCW permit people are not the ones that anyone should worry about. Most of them know the rules, and have been background checked, fingerprinted, photoed, psyco tested or verified, jumped through hoops, tatooed, and spanked. Most of them will try to walk away before they pull out their Roscoe and start yanking a trigger. I've seen it happen. Another thing about the criminal types is that they usually prey on those who they feel are not going to give them any resistance. Next time you see one of the little hoodlums eyeballin' you and getting closer; put you hand in your pocket, look him straight in the eye, put a serious, defiant look on your face and watch his reaction. He usually looks away, and moves back.:biggrin_25510:

jbc's opinion is the right one. Just like you think your opinion is correct in every one of your posts. I don't think any "cherry picking" was done. But hey, that's my opinion...and I'm right.

My opinion is neither right nor wrong. It is, afterall: my opinion.
Sure he "cherry-picked", he picked a ridiculous statement someone else made to show how wrong carrying a weapon is.

NO ONE (responsible gun-owner) would "go back" because someone threw an object off an overpass.
Neither did the poster claim that he would SHOOT someone for throwing an object off an overpass.

However, I DO (since I am not a criminal) have the right to defend myself from an idiot who has no respect for the lives of others, and no respect for others property.
I DO have the right to protect my property, and I DO have the DUTY to protect the property of others to which I have been entrusted.

Shame on anyone who thinks they can take ANY of those things from me.

NOPE, I seldom listen to the CB. There are much better ways to spend the time.
You can have what YOU want (or DON'T want) as long as I can have what I want.
And WHO said it was illegal to carry a gun in the truck?

It amazes me how many folks actually BELIEVE it is illegal to carry in a cmv just because it is a cmv. HORsEHOCKey! the simple fact that people REFUSE to personally inform themselves about the laws that govern THEIR lives, is the very fact that those that pay attention to these facts are ABLE to enact new and more RESTRICTIVE laws AGAINST us. Wake up and be informed people! If you really want to carry do a thorough search of the ACTUAL laws in every area you will carry including your carrier and private property laws. If you get a ccw permit you will learn about these things. Bottom line is if your company forbids it you CANNOT carry while working for them even if you have a permit. Thats why I drive for a smaller company without such rules:biggrin_25522:.

I'm sure it has already been said, but I haven't finished reading all the posts on this thread yet. There is no law anywhere in the US that specifically makes it a crime to possess or carry a firearm in a commercial motor vehicle. The Feds CAN NOT pass any regulation on this due the Constitutional 2nd Amendment. I have listened to the CB and have also been run off the road in the D.C. area and they attempted to truckjack me before I got around them in the grass and called the cops. I know this doesn't happen to very many people, but you've got to be out of your mind if you think you have the ability to regulate everyone(including criminals) in this country or any other. The cops are freakin useless and are only good for picking up the pieces afterwards or making a report. They can not protect you and according to several higher court rulings, do not have a duty to protect any individual, only the collective whole.
