I'm in the current Richfield class and on Tuesday morning we left from Richfield to Steator, than over to Trenton. Stayed over night in the Days Inn, than headed back to Richfield on Wednesday. Than on Thursday we ran to BRF's and back. Got a ton of driving in this week!! It was awesome. Only have 3 in our class so plenty of wheel time. Was nice to see about half the terminals in 3 days ! Having a blast and extremely pleased with my decision to go with Millis, top notch in my opinion with tons of great drivers I've met as well.
Its Millis time...

I'll be in Cartersville on the 20th. I thank you all for making this an experience I am really looking forward to. I love OTR, but in my past experiences it seemed very isolated and impersonal. But with Millis, you can make alot of buds and enjoy the independence at the same time.
It's amazing looking at the forum how Millis stands out above mostly all other companies. They really know how to run a trucking company. I think one of the keys to their reputation, is the screening formula used when considering new hires.
One tell tail sign is the spelling and grammer from this company to some of the others.Cooper09 Thanks this. -

Quick questions how long does Millis have you out with a trainer?
whats their rider policy ?Last edited: Aug 14, 2012

I believe it's 5 to 7 weeks depending upon trainer evaluation. Riders, wife, child over 10, no pets and 90 day waiting period.

Minimum of 35 days. As far as the max, my trainer had one guy for 13 weeks. He was from new York though and if you fail a cdl test the average wait to retest is 5 weeks. That guy failed twice.

Hey everyone thanks for keeping the thread alive lol
Well almost 3 weeks down with my trainer so far so good. Scheduled to take my CDL exam next week in Milan, IN at Baylor so if anyone has any info about them it would be nice.
Got to meet Mtown a week or so ago, it is nice to meet some of the guys here aand put a face with the name.
The OTR part of training is going pretty good, been all over the southeast, up to New Jersey and we have been running Texas to Georgia and back for a week now. Man I don't know how the road trainers do it, they have to have nerves of steel lolWhitey14243 Thanks this. -
Ahh the mountains of Virginia at night...in the rain. Life is good, of course not sure wether to #### or go blind at times lol
