I appreciate the kind words Prometheuss. Personally, I usually take anywhere from 4-7 days off a month but I also catch a few breaks at the lady's house as well. Wolding is pretty flexible with home time and will get you home when you want as long as you give them a reasonable heads up. I've only needed to be home in Maine on exact dates twice and arrived there each time, on time, no problems. Just remember, if the wheels ain't turnin', then you ain't earnin'.

Tonight, the navigator and I sit York, NE for the night. I wish this dang heat would let up just a little bit, but it doesn't appear that will happen anytime soon. Will head out for Denver in the morning.

Made it to the TA in Wheat Ridge, CO this afternoon, and this is by far the worst truck stop to get into unless you are coming from the west. There are two left turn lanes to get onto the street that the truck stop is on. Most of us get into the outside turning lane. WRONG! You need to be in the inside lane because there is a separate lane created to the left of the inside turn lane immediately after the turn. So if you are in the outside turn lane, you have to cut across the inside turn lane to get to the lane created to get to the truck stop. Needless to say, I was unable to do this when the light turned green. So I had to head east on 70 an exit and try it all over again. That is, of course, unless I wanted to bang a u- turn in the middle of a busy intersection right off the interstate. I think I'll leave that trick up my sleeve for now.

Delivered in LA late last week, picked up a load of scrap in La Mirada, CA and took a couple of days off with my other half. Delivered the load of scrap last night in Flagstaff and then picked up my current load in Bellemont which is heading to Kent, WA.I was told from there I'll either be heading to Green Bay, Omaha, or back to LA, but odds are between the first two. Also, here are last week's paid miles with home time.

    7/20-7/21: 284 miles
    7/21: 253 miles+.03cpm premium
    7/22-7/25: 2145 miles

That's a total of 2682 paid miles with 2.5 days of home time. Still a happy camper for time being.

Well, delivered my load of scrap in Flagstaff, picked up load that delivered in Kent, WA. Figured out why we don't go to the northwest all that often as i got a reset in before I picked up my last load. Took reset in Tacoma, paid, and picked up in Sumner, WA that I delivered in De Pere, WI this afternoon. Now I'm at the yard to get a PM on the truck. Pay will run over a couple of weeks but ran 3800+ paid miles the past 8.5 days.

    Last week's paid miles are:

    7/28-7/28: 489 miles
    7/29-7/31: 1381 miles

That's 1870 miles, but I already have 2000 miles on this pay period and I have Friday to add to that so it all averages out. Not mad about sitting because I asked to go up that way, as my other half and I plan on moving to that area next summer and I wanted to get a sneak peek:biggrin_255: beautiful country up that way, especially along I-90 through Washington, Idaho, and Montana. Definitely an enjoyable drive, and seeing Mount Rainier in person was spectacular. Looking forward to going back up that way.

Been really busy this week, got the truck serviced and took a load from Waupaca, WI over to Homer, MI. Headed from there to St. Joseph, MI and swapped my MT with my loaded trailer going Clarksville, TN. Delivered that and picked up in Clarksville and delivered to the Menard's DC in Plano, IL. Took an MT from there and swapped it with my loaded trailer in Romeoville, IL that delivered to the Copps DC in Stevens Point, WI. From there I hopped over to the SCA in Neenah, WI and picked up my loaded trailer that I delivered last night to the SCA in Cherokee, AL. Grabbed an MT and now I'm getting loaded at the Pringles plant in Jackson, TN headed for Oconomowoc, WI. Passed the 100,000 mile plateau as a solo this week so I'm excited about that. I'm even more excited about my bonus check I received this week. What to spend it on.....oh yeah, my student loans :biggrin_2552: I'll post miles for the week later. Be safe all and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Currently doing a split in Oak Creek, WI and deliver at 2355 in Oconomowoc, WI. Running low on hours so I'll take a full 10 after my delivery and pick up my load of scrap in Waukesha, WI and deliver it to Neenah, WI. Also, here are the miles from last pay period.

    8/2-8/5: 1967 miles
    8/7-8/7: 550 miles
    8/8-8/8: 547 miles
    8/9-8/9: 446 miles
    8/10-8/10: 285 miles

That comes out to 3795 paid miles plus reset pay. Averaged out with last pay period, it comes out to roughly 2800/week. Already have 834 paid miles for the next pay period.
    Be safe all.

Delivered last night in Oconomowoc and swapped out my MT with my load of scrap that I delivered to the SCA in Neenah, WI. Had to turn down a load going out to Fresno, CA. Really didn't want to, it was only 19k in the box, but it had to be there Friday morning but I wasn't even going to be close with my hours. Instead, I picked up an MT in Neenah and picked up my load over in Waupaca, WI heading back down to Clarksville, TN for tomorrow night at 2300. Be safe all.
