I know it is not always I didn't mean to imply that. I just would like to talk to someone that is working for TA so I could make a more informed decision. By the way no tarps he never called.

Good point! I'd love to pull a flat bed, just don't think I could move those tarps around.

Open deck vs van??? Exercise, mental challenge, pride in accomplishing something, hauling really cool s#^t, OD pay, etc. Not everyone does that much tarping. We carry 4' drops, and usually only haul coils or steel (one 22 x 16). Outbound shipments are usually no tarp. tarping a load of plate/coils does not take that long (30 minutes).

Go with Maverick, better equipment, more solid company. Learning flat bed will also make you more experienced, and give you more opportunities in the future, because anyone can pull a van.
