I worked at that QT in high school many many moons ago. Not a lot of truck parking memory serves me well.

I84 carries a fuel penalty in a number of stiff grades you have to climb across southern New York, plus serious traffic delays through Danbury, Watertown and Hartford. Considering what the Tappan Zee toll is right now, that's a reasonable alternative: I287 > Tappan Zee > I95.

Thks for the input. I ran all three scenario Tappan Zee was the longest in both time and miles. I picked up 84 in PA and was already rolling up down hills. I prefer Tappan Zee but figured it would be busier with construction on GW and sitting idling in traffic burns fuel and time too. This way I kept moving and shaved time and miles. I am leaving early am so should miss traffic in Danbury.

Traffic is heavy on the Tappan Zee, but I've never run across a serious backup yet. Time? How much time do you spend on a grade at 25mph? Fuel... you're down in the 3's or 4's on the upside of the grade.
