Yeah, KW could be making a killing kicking out gliders. I guess they are finally letting the T8 out of the gate as a glider, but supposedly only set up to take an '04 or newer emission engine. Sure someone will find a way around that kink. The Paccar management does pretty good, but once in a while they really step on their duffle bag. They sure aren't proclaiming it from the rooftops that they are doing a glider. I only heard about it thru the grapevine. So, it may not even be true.
Same can be said for International or Mack. International has gotten themselves in a mess with not meeting EPA standards on the Maxxforce, and are having to play catchup with everyone. They could at least buffer their bottom line if they let the 9900 out as a glider. For those that like International. -
Guess it causes to much disruption in their production line I a glider was to come up. Workers would be lost not knowing what to do wih themselves, getting lost or hurt in the process. Lol

Are their products any good as far as fass system & spinner 2?

How many miles before oil change?
-
The FASS pump is a good product, but I don't recommend for a fuel mileage or power gain. I uses it for the extra filtering that it does, along with priming the engine. For a CAT engine I recommend a 220 GPH FASS, the 180 GPH can't keep up with the fuel being pumped by the engine if the fuel pressure, fuel fittings and hose sizes have been increased
The Spinner II is a great product and does extract the soot and heavy particles from the oil in the engine. I've never used it as a method to extend oil drain intervals, so I don't know how it would work in that application. The main advantage to it over other smaller sized bypass filters is you don't have to clean it every 250 hours or 15,000 miles to retain optimum filtering capacity.
Because of the extra amount of fuel I am pushing into the engine, I use the Spinner II to get rid of the extra soot I'm adding to my oil.
A CAT engine should have the oil changed every 15,000 miles or 250 hours. Most everybody goes past the 250 hours when they follow the 15,000 mile rule. If you do regular oil sampling this won't cause any problemsfrankie f Thanks this. -
Thanks Haney, that pretty much settles an old argument on here with someone calling me and others crazy for shorter intervals. 12,500 OCI's, never more than that, never less than 10,000 miles - just depends on how much idling I did. A CAT wrench told me 300 hrs was about right and I positive I'm always well under that.

my oil change gets done betwin 8,000 and 10,000 miles, my Peterbilt with 12.7 S60 had 1,150,000 miles and never smoked thru the breather or had any blow by, never spend a single penny on that motor, except for an alternator later on those miles, so far the Cat on the KW seem to be the same although it was rebuild at 525K.

My brother has a Spinner II on a stock 550 3406E and he hasn't been changing the oil till around 25k. His oil samples have all been coming back good so he's gonna try 30k and see. His oil doesn't even start to turn dark till around 15k.
Personally I wouldn't go as far as he does, but it isn't my engine to destroy.
