I was hesitant to get started here. I'm scheduled for C1 in Little Rock on Sept 17, so I'm not really anything yet. I had a false start with Driver Solutions/C1 and didn't want to jinx this try by getting on something like this too early. Unfortunately, I wanted to search the forums and you can't do that unless you register, so . . .Anyway, I'm 50 years old and I've never driven a big rig. My dad did. As far as I know that was the only job he ever had. I've held a number of route/delivery jobs, but never in anything that required a CDL. I'm really looking forward to getting started with this career, but very nervous and anxious, as well. I would love insight from older folks like me just breaking into the career. I would also love some current info regarding the state of affairs with USA Truck. I've seen quite a bit on here, but it is mostly older, like at least a year old, or more. I looked up an employee review on GlassDoor and the company was rated fairly well, with the CEO having a 67% approval. So if anyone can she some light, I would appreciate it.
