Maybe NYC would work better. At least the trainer would get the NYC pay.

I just want to get home to my wife and kids. So getting in as many hours BTW each day is my goal. I think if we can get loads for stores located where I'm likely to be getting them to once I'm on my own, then it shouldn't be to hard to log a lot of hours. Be excellent if I can get close to 60 hours BTW a week. Be done in 3 weeks.

Can anyone tell anything about the written test for upgrading? Is it open book? I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect. Have a great day!

I haven't taken it yet but from what I've heard it's not open book but it is multiple choice. The test questions & answers are in the back of your training manual so study (memorize) that and it should be a piece of cake.

    Outlawd19 Thanks this.

Also Outlaw I was told to include a 10hr break in your log when you log the trip they have you plan. If you don't, it will mean you where speeding to make it within 11 hours.

May Trucking and John Christner are leasing space at Colton. Using as their terminals also.

Go on duty-15 min PTI. Jump up to line 3 driving for 2 hours. Down to on duty for (I think it was 2 hours getting loaded the question said?). Then drive for 5 hours. Go up into sleeper in Charlotte NC (don't forget a 15 min PTI first). Then I think it was deliver at 3pm so go back on duty at 945am. 15 min PTI then driving till 3pm. 15 min PTI then off duty. Done. Lol. That's if the question is still about driving from tunnel hill to Atlanta to pick up a load and going to Richmond VA or something like that. It takes 10 hrs to drive it so just split it up between both days. Won't go over any HOS that way. Hope that helps ya some.

    DaReallyst and Outlawd19 Thank this.

Will be headed somewhere tomorrow to pick up a new truck. The dollar general acct manager wasn't in the office today so they didn't have a answer for me as to where I have to go. My team mate is also going on the same acct so he will be picking me up sometime tmw and we will be headed where ever they tell us I guess lol. I think he's gonna keep the truck and I might get a new one or I might keep that truck idk yet. Someone will tell us all that tmw I guess. It's all good though..just adds some more home time and another night to spend sleeping next to the wife!
