In the meantime, we sit here and wait, and lose everything we worked hard for, I agree with the other person, it is almost time to update the resume. This is only the third job I have had in over 20 years. Cannot be too hard to find another. -
Again I've only needn't driving for about 5 1/2 years and I have yet ran so many miles that I needed to take a break out on the road. I guess It's ones mind set the more miles more money. I for one get more tired just sitting and doing nothing. You can only sleep so long no matter how hard you try.

Gotta love these so called smart phones and there spelling.

Your statement is true, and it speaks volumes about how the act of sitting and waiting has no merit. -
The toughest thing I've found to deal with in my short time in this industry. Very hard to convince myself that idle time away from home is normal and acceptable.
NotTheAverageTrucker Thanks this. -
Amen to that. I'm retired military and been gone for a year at a time. Then there was a reason and more importantly still getting paid. If I knew I would been here till Monday or later I would have rented a car and drove the 7 hours home.

What branch? I retired from the military myself. -
Army I retired in Sept 2004 from Ft Bragg 82nd Airborne Division.
-
USMC, I retired in 2009, from Camp Pendleton, California. Dark Horse, 3/5. Put in my retirement papers when I reached the 20 year mark in Afghanistan.
