As i read this thread and your husband was layin over up north, you gotta remember that was a holiday week....
-
so true, this holiday he was rolling from Pa. to Fl. miles still good he has no complaints so far.

ok so I am going to eat my words. His bunk heater went out in Oct. so he has been trying to get it fixed since then, Landair shop DOES NOT know how to fix them so here it is almost Jan and still no heat. He has asked almost daily about getting it fixed all he is being told got to keep the trucks rolling. So we have been to Pa. and NJ freezing our butts off since truck will not idle until you hit 20 so as of today he is turning in his truck in Atlanta, He asked for another truck and was told we have 8 new drivers waiting on trucks, we said let them wait, please fix my truck or give me another one. Got to keep the truck rolling. Even here in Fl. we have already been below freezing. Go figure what are they thinking, they would rather lose someone with a hazmat then fix his truck. He just got his raise , makes no sense to me Happy New year and stay SAFE oh am I wrong to think that his safety is in jeorpady since he freezes all night or has to get up every 2 hrs to run the truck. no wonder their csa scores are so bad

Landair is just like every other low level company. They have salesmen that they call recruiters to get you in the door. They treat you good at first but it doesn't take long to figure out they are just another trucking company that will take advantage of you and screw you over until you quit. There is a never ending line of dumb ##### filling out applications to take over your truck and keep it rolling. Best of luck with the heat issue. Maybe they will fix it come summer time and break your ac in the process.

This truck has been in the shop including theirs 5 times and he never recieved a dime while sitting. Everytime it went in their shop came back with something else broke, so it is in Atlanta waiting on an eskimo to drive it. Happy New Year and above all stay safe

i just left landair out of greenville tn, they left a permanant brown stain on my driving history. as i quit my job there i did all the right stuff did not quit under a load or commit to a load the day i quit. i drove truck back to the terminal and dropeed it off cleaner than when i got it. so they say to other potential companies i am applying to that i broke company policy and am not rehireable. i quit due to lack of miles, lack of communication from within the company, lack of hometime (all the trailers at landair say home weekly, i never made it home weekly even when i requested such) sitting at truckstops for 2 days and only getting 50.00 for it... the turn over rate is high and everything you hear in orientation is bs... i would not reccomend landair

Agreed! If you have more than a year of driving experience then you can do better than this company.

I have been working for Landair for over 4 yrs on the dedicated side and make 800/wk salary even if they dont call me in. I am home every nite but i started out long haul and was home every weekend. It might be caused by where u live or how hard u will or wont run.
