They inspect if the inspection guy is there. He works banker hours I think because I've never had an after hour or weekend inspection there. But he's pretty thorough an will usually adjust your brake lines so they're up out of the way (and legal, lol). Has anybody been there since they did the construction or whatever they were talking about a few weeks ago? Is it easier to get in and out quickly?

I was out of the Conley Terminal.
I would not suggest walking anywhere from there accept the store across the road where you get meal vouchers for. It is a rather bad area. Use to be a TA up the street, it closed down maybe 5 years ago or so. We had drivers mugged going to it or returning.

I had a very good dispatcher out of there though. Once she knew that I did not need anyone holding my hand, planned every trip, and did not accept any loads that I could not do, she ran my butt off. I was averaging over 3000 miles per week with her, after my first 6 week trial.

The only place you will see allot of uniforms in trucking is with LTL carriers. Truckload company's mostly do not have them.
Wear clean comfortable clothing and you will be better dressed than many. If you dress dirty or trashy, then you will be treated as such. Actually, allot of the time at grocery warehouses you are treated like trash anyway, so dressing professional could not hurt.

It's still work though, not Wal-Mart! Some people out here take "comfortable" a little too far. I'm surprised people too lazy to get dressed are even working
