Life at American Central Transport (ACT)

Was taking it easy heading to Rockford,Il from Clarksville,Tn because lately I have been not getting loaded til next day after empty in Chicago area. Had PTA set for 1430. About 1000 I get a load offer with two loads that were live loads I could not pick up on time.

E. Hazel Crest,Il to Athens,Al by 1430
Chicago to KC by 1500.

I called and let him know no way I could be there on time for pickups so thy sent me two more loads.

Bolingbrook,Il to Memphis,Tn by 1600 which I still did not think I could make or Ottawa,Il to Columbia,Mo.
I took the load to Columbia which I am sitting at now waiting for them to get here for my 3am appointment. Not planned yet.

 

Delivered in Columbia,Mo. Hada choice of two loads.

Trenton,Il to St Joe,Mo
Jefferson City,Mo to Lawton,Ok

Took the load to St Joe because it is much much lighter. Will deliver this evening.

 

Delivered the load in St Joe from Trenton,Il. Reloaded in St Joe and took it to Lexington,Tn. Deadheading to Florence,Ky to pick up going to St Joe,Mo. I think I am Johnson Controls dedicated now because that is all I have been doing lately it seems.

 

Delivered in St Joe now loading in KC,Ks going to St Bernard,Oh for tomorrow.

 

Delivered in St Bernard then loaded in W Jefferson,Oh going to Ottawa,Il for a drop asap.

 

Delivered in Ottawa. Got a 2 pickup load from Lake Mills,Wi and Romeoville,Il going to East Point,Ga. Delivers Sunday morning and will have about 3025 miles in for the week then.

 

My load is a drop in E Point at Dicks Sunday morning but I am Preplanned to pick up in Graniteville,Sc going to Belvidere,Il scheduled to drop Wednesday morning but they should take it Tuesday morning. That will be about 4050 miles in 8 days. I guess freight is picking up a bit.
