Any owner operators willing to train me?

You're wasting your time trying to find an o/o to do this. Not going to happen. If some shyster o/o does take advantage of you the work history will not be verifiable meaning it never happened and you have zilch experience. Short of some questionable carrier like Carolina Cargo out of SC hiring you, they will take felons but have a terrible reputation, you are SOL..

 

With that attitude, I wouldn't even order fries from you.......

There are places you can rent trucks from to take your class A test in.

That is how I got my license.

 

You are going to just have to come clean to get any kind of serious answer - what did you get 11 years in prison for?

 

Not true! You can get a prison sentence for a misdemeanor in the federal system, in most cases they'll let you serve the sentence (usually less than 6 mos) in county jail but in some cases they will send you to a prison camp (minimum security, most of them don't even have fences around them). I know I spent 2 years at one of these jokes and always some guy comes in scared crapless that he has to do 60 days on a misdemeanor.

 

you dont need to go to school to get your cdl however most companies will not hire you unless you have attended a school and the bigger companies wont hire you unless the school you attended is on there approved list of schools cause there are a lot of schools that dont teach enough when you go out with a trainer your expected to already know how to drive at least the basics and be able to double clutch so they are picky as to which schools they will accept
