ha! My trainer during the past month (not this morning's tester) told me the same thing... that his job is to teach us everything that we need to know in order to meet all the required DOT tests and requirements. And that we shouldn't be surprised when the stuff that we learn on the job is very different from what we learned during "school".

Dont worry about it believe me you will still make the same 26cpm as the guy who scored 100 the big companies could care less. All they want is somebody in their truck for the least amount of money as possible.Since you just graduated ur at the bottom no matter what you did in school.Good luck and do good at ur company then you wont be at the bottom by this time next year.

You will be drawn and quartered, and charged with a service failure.

I am also starting my orientation/training with Roehl on Mon. Are you headed to Gary for flatbed?

    Congrats Spartan.

I will be completing phase 1 training (flatbed) at the Phoenix terminal. Worked out nicely, since I happen to live here.

Best wishes to you. Enjoy the experience.

You need to prepare yourself for much more frustrating and unfair experiences than this if you want to survive your first year OTR. That tester taught you one of the best lessons you could have learned about trucking - - not to sweat things you can't control. If you do, you'll burn out quickly.

Yeah, I'm over it now. Had my moment of frustration. All is well. Move along... nothing to see here. : )

it cost me maybe ten seconds or so, I have learned many new trades ..... I scored 92 on the driving, what matters is how inane the written was and now I see I have to go to the same study area for HAZMAT so focus on whatever is in front of you now that you have license

well if it's really not acceptable to you then there is always option B..go do the class again pay the money for the school and take the test again...i did very very well back when i went through it all.i was so anal about it too because i aced everything but was 5 mins late to class 1 day and because of that i did'nt get the lil bs perfect record for class time award..made 99% on the road test and 95 or so on the written tests........believe me passing is passing.i did'nt get treated any diffrent for doing so good...so be thankful you have it now and get to work. here is some advice, take your time and don't make any rash decisions.what ever you do try to stay with 1 company for atleast a year.then you can almost write your own way from there.
