Prime has always been a Freightliner shop. Petes and Internationals only became part of the stable after FL suspended Century series production without letting anyone know in advance.

Its always that way with new models. Gotta get the kinks worked out!

Hello there, I'm looking at companies and need some honest info w/o B.S involved. I've been trucking for 23yrs and am currently looking at Melton which I'm very impressed with but you can't take the truck home. I live in the white mountains of AZ and I would have to leave the trk in PHX and commute 2 1/2hrs home one way. Prime flat bed division but can't get enough positive feed back to make a good educated decision. TMC does not hire in AZ. Unsure about Swift. Did them in my early years. I was an O/O before the crash in 2000. Sold truck before that ordeal. I've hauled doubles, tankers, reefers, dry, propane, bellies, end dumps, thought that flat bedding needed to be added plus you don't see flat beds on the rails!!!!!!!
    Thanks for your time, Grumpy

Alright, I asked this question on another thread a few days ago and have not gotten a reply so I'll try it here. What do you consider a low rate and a high rate per mile in flatbed? Also what would you say your average is per mile for a month if you don't mind. And last how far do you dead head on average? Thanks.

I've been looking at the threads and I was wandering. I'm getting ready to start my Prime training and I was wanting to know who decides what division you will be in and secondly when you go solo do they assign your truck or do you get some sort of choice? Thanx for your time and answers.
