I Start With Averitt in January 2012

Anyone on or know anything about the Shoe Carnival dedicated account?

 

Yeehaa. Just scored my first Petsmart load. Great, this sucker delivers at 3 am in Austin, then 8 am in Katy, and 10am in Pasadena this Sunday. Well, at least I'll be back at home for Sunday and prolly Monday too. The dang thing won't be ready till tomorrow afternoon late and I'm already here. Was dispatched on a drop at Tuesday Morning's warehouse for tomorrow afternoon but got there today at 1700. Dude said drop it so drop it I did. Went through the hurricane twice. Once in Baton Rouge, which was SCARY. That wind was howling.

 

Got rare back to back daytime LTL shuttle loads this week. CLT to NAS Wednesday and NAS to TIF Thursday.

Had an exceptionally smooth week except for five hour unload at Dollar General in Jonesville SC. We drop&hook at DG in Alachua FL and even when it was live unload they were pretty quick. Not so with Jonesville.

 

2042 this week and last week was just over 1900.

Only my seventh week back, but I was doing 2400-2600 up until recently.

 

Only that is runs out of Indiana, but not sure where you have to be based out of to get on it.

I talked to a guy who did it for nine months and said they got consistent 6000+ miles as team running to Oregon every week.

 

Wow..I was told you had to live within a 150 miles of Nashville, Mayfield Ky, Bowling Green and I think Owensboro. I'm about 40 miles from Mayfield. Good miles I see, but I would be solo. Not much on sleeping in a moving truck lol.

 

weekends off is getting home saturday and leaving sunday. oe 34 hours off if you are lucky. averitt runs electronic logs. they average 2100 miles a week. hard to believe somebody would want to work at averitt.

 

finally a driver who tells the truth about averitt. nope it will not get any better that is a normal week at the allmighty averitt.

 

the problem with averitt is that they aRE SIMPLY AN AVERAGE TRUCKING COMPANY. where do you think the "a" in averitt came from
