Tanker driver steals 2,100 gallons of gas from station

Just when you thought you've seen it all....

 

It's only 2100 gallons. How could they possibly notice its missing?

Are there any smart crooks out there?

 

Oh you know they will raise prices by another $0.25 a gallon to cover that.

 

people are getting desperate overlooking the obvious dam

 

Obviously he's not too bright if he went for the gasoline. Diesels worth a lot more and secretly getting rid of 2100gallons would be a Cakewalk. Trying to find somebody other than another gas station to buy 2100 gallons of gas may be tricky and throw up some red flags.

 

You don't steal that large a quantity, without having a place to get rid of it.

Got a point there. And there aren't many smart people left, as verified by the story of the shooting outside a shoe store in New York.

What do people THINK will happen if you stand in line for 4 hours, waiting on the store to open. With $300 in your pocket, for a new pair of Nike's.

These people might as well wear a "Rob Me" sign.
