We do A.I. in Eagle Ford Shale, there are "black-ops" supervisor units from Texas DPS Highway Patrol Services .... marked patrol cruisers about one every few minutes or so .... the someone passes me in the suicide lane during lunch hour at 28.810836,-97.857727 almost W.O.T. because I wont throttle-jockey ..... so why don't some drivers fear institutionalization enough to do whatever it takes to not go there?....
really asking, it interests me as I was personal assistant on a $50 million building project precisely bcs I grasp the risk, in fact I prevented an at-risk exposure for Health, Life & Safety Code that would have put the authority in the position at-risk for "human warehousing" .....

Theres everyone elses advice and then there is Forrest Gump Trucking! How many times does Forrest Gump get a CSA inspection? Forrest Gump gets 3 inspections done a week! Some may ask why cause my company pays 500.00 Dollars a pop for each inspection passed does not matter the level! So if the scales are open Forrest Gump goes in and says give me an inspection! Think about it whos the only person that can control your CSA Score? You the driver are! When do you notice you got a light out? When you do your pretrip, or post trip. Where do we take our ten hour breaks at? A truck stop most of the time and the truck stop sells Light Bulbs and Fuses! This is not rocket science even though some drivers think it is!
Forrest Gump runs circles around team trucks and Forrest Gump does it legally! I get truck stop books for teams and I see where companies say Teamsters can get between 5000 to 6000 miles a week LOL! I see where companies limit their driver from 2500 miles to 3500 miles a week again LOL! Those are not truck drivers those are lazy people! Heres my weekly runs and I can show you drivers how to run 6000 miles a week plus legally if you got a hell of a dispatcher who understands the weekends is where you get the miles at!
Friday 1 pm pick up my load from wayland new york to los angeles, ca mileage 2607 miles one way. This load will deliver at 0800 local time in LA! This is a drop and hook at our shipper. I will be in Haubstady, In about 9 hours. I'll shut down at 8 30pm. This is for my fuel stop and post trip time. Take my ten hour break. At 6 30 am I am doing my pretrip, 6 45 am on the road again! Haubstadts, In to Ok City, Ok. Drive time 10 hours 5 30 pm i am on my ten hour break again! sunday 3 30 am pretrip, 3 45 am on the road shut down at 2 pm in winslow, az. 12 am pretrip 12:15 am on the road ill get to la by 9 am eastern time which is 6 am local and that gives for the rush hour traffic too so my load won't be late.
I still have 2 1/2 hours left to work before I need another ten hour break on monday, ill go to our other shipper in la 5 miles to where this load delivers in la and drop and hook, i will make san berdino, ca and take my ten hour break there!
I just drove 2607 miles in about 2 1/2 days I still got 4 more days left before my week is done! I'll be back in Wayland, New York in 2 1/2 days so thats another 2607 miles do the math 5214 miles for the week as a solo driver. Ill get back to Wayland, New York, by Wednesday Night, Early Thursday Morning. Thursday Ill pick a local load up and it will deliver Friday it will be 600 to 800 mile run. Add that on to my already 5214 miles for the week and it will put me very close to 6000 miles if not over 6000 miles for the week!
You say I run illegal, but My truck is a company truck and its not governored, Also I just showed every driver if you have a #### great dispatcher than can give you rolling and not wondering where you next load is coming from or having to sit to wait a few hours for your next assignment how you can get them miles a week single! Now I realize most of the companies today trucks are lucky if they can go 65 miles an hour! This is why a slow truck is making your paychecks low and your struggling to make it week to week!
Forrest Gump don't have to fix his logs to make creative writing, Forrest Gump don't have to tear pages up and start over either! Forrest Gump's company understands the trucking industry very well, its why we are not called truck drivers, we are called FREIGHT MOVERS!
And after so many of you read this post your gonna be like what the hell does a faster truck really mean that many extra more miles a week and it sure does!nicholas_jordan Thanks this. -
Didn't see time for a reset there, so you're telling us you average over 85mph -- yet you think you're running legally?

BigBlue: I am sorry you are full of it. If you run 11 hours of driving a day ( the max allowed) and drive 65 mph average( hard to do) that is 715 miles a day. In 6 days you are @ 66 hours and 4290 miles. You only have 4 hours left or you will need a reset. You could shorten day # 6 by 6 hours and you would have 10 for the next day but then you would need a reset. You sure wont be doing those miles in the mountains or in California. If you do 8.5 hours a day you would not need a reset but could only drive 552 miles a day! That is only about 4000 miles a week. What about lost time at loading docks? You are either cheating on our logs or this story is fantasy. Do the math. 3-11 hour days to go those miles would require 79 mph!! Shades of Smokey and the Bandit!
