Well, I swore I wasn't going to read anymore of the Skyview Farms posts, but I can clearly see the recruiters are still doing their best to earn their bonuses.

I'd like to reiterate: we were told EXACTLY the same thing this WOLFMAN guy is saying. My husband worked his *** off - he was no slouch and had 35 years in as a driver. The bottom line is we lost our house as a direct result of listening to these "recruiters!" It got to the point that "Skyview was so good to us" that the loads Nate was getting was blood meal to New Jersey, with a cloud of flies following the load. The recruiters won't even know who you are once you sign on the dotted line.

WOLFMAN -- don't forget you have to comply with DOT regulations. (Skyview doesn't much care as I remember). Don't forget about the times you are left sitting in the truck stop because "they haven't found a load yet (we would sit for up to three days - waiting...) They assured us they had plenty of loads! Ha!

THE BOTTOM LINE -- they will work you but you will probably NEVER own the truck or trailer. Skyview is in the business to make money. Period. They will smile and glad hand you at the same time they turn the knife... My advice is kiss their behinds 110% of the time and don't expect to own the tractor/trailer and you'll probably be OK. Wolf or no wolf. Make no mistake -- you need to be in their good favor at all times so you don't get shafted and be on of the few that writes about how "great" Skyview Farms is to work for!

I think all these lease to own deals should be outlawed. MEGA TRUX has gotten a bit smarter however... MEGA TRUX has an outside company do the 'lease to own deal' so they aren't involved with the rig - only the loads. The lease company will pull the truck faster than you can spit if you don't make their "quota!" MEGA TRUX disavows all involvement and "are ever so sorry you couldn't buy out the truck" even though you were sitting in their yard with about 15 other drivers waiting for a load!

I'd be interested in seeing the numbers industry wide on drivers who lease to own and drivers who actually complete the lease and GET THE TRUCK. Please don't be naive if you have a family you have to support.

Post when you find out what the scam is at Skyview.

Good luck - you will need it!

BTW - we were on the hopper side. They told us we would make more money...

Why do you keep thinking percentage pay is some higher form of pay? For some odd reason you think you are going to run 3 loads every week that pay $3000 each that's all you keep saying. Do you just think that every load no matter what the mileage is pays $3000? What you keep saying doesn't make ANY sense. You have no idea how many miles you will run each week nor do you know what they will pay you. They will probably give you less than 82% of the load and you'll never know. At least on mileage pay you know exactly what your truck will be bringing in per mile wise. Don't forget that on percentage pay, if you deadhead then that's out of your pocket. I think I'm done responding as this is very frustrating trying to explain something so simple to someone who obviously is brand new to the game. Good luck with 3 loads paying $3000 each week. Maybe one day you'll get 4 loads that pay exactly $4000 each week. That makes the most sense after all.

    Well Folks,

Since there are several drivers here, talking about a lawsuit but its been about two years, we are still waiting for some sort of 1099 info on weekly settlements that they was getting negative paychecks, and no one is willing to give any real info, I am going to be heading to Skyview Farms. If I fail it will be because I have failed! If I am successful it will be because I have succeed!

So Navy says Let the Adventures Begin,
    We Marines are their Adventures,
    Air Force says Aim High,
    Marines never miss,
    Army says Army Strong
Marines your only has good as your weakiest link!

So in a few weeks, I'll be back talking about how much I am making and what the loads are paying and if I am above water or below it but I will not sugar coat anything!

    WolfMan Out!

My guess is you won't be back bragging about how rich you are getting. If you do come back to this thread at all it will be to say "####, I should have listened to you guys." You have been fed a line of bs by some recruiter and are not smart enough to see it. Good luck and I pray that your family doesn't suffer from your inabilitly to listen to wisdom.

I'm thinking you may be a lucky man and Koby is going to take really good care of you. Just so you will report here in a few months or so with how great it is to work for Skyview Farms. Just so Koby and Skyview Farms can get the last laugh.

Good luck to you! This thread has actually been an interesting read.

Thank you, I'll keep everyone informed. I would like to see the weekly settlements from past and current drivers, however I see some still have yet to say how much their gross load was and how much they made a week, the only info us outsiders seem to be getting is " We got negative paychecks for 7 weeks or 12 weeks" and I find this hard to believe, unless like one poster said they took out more advances a week than they was making after the weekly payments and fuel cost. But I will post my weekly paychecks starting the first week with the company.
