so what yall are saying is that once the battery is dead you have to exchange it???

i see no replacing battery. but i can't beleive you can't even recharge the thing.

how long does one battery usually last?

I no longer use PrePass but...

Either I-Pass or PrePass can be easily swapped out if you call the company. If you open it and try to fix it,
they won't ever take it back and will charge you!

It really depends on the device. They constantly 'recycle' inventory, so you may have a brand-new one that will last for years, or a 'used' one that lasts a few months. Since they exchange when it stops working, it really doesn't matter.

As I said before, they ship overnight. Most of our loads are 2-3 days long, so we plan on where we will stop for our break, call the location to make sure it can be delivered (major T/S usually are agreeable), then call PrePass, problem solved!! Oh, and BTW, Hubby and I stay out for MONTHS at a time.
