In some states the center of your rear tandoms need to be 10' from the rear of the trailer. Using that 5th hole will usually get you by in most places.
Forgot to slide tandoms. $100 ticket.

5th hole on newer trailers 14th on older ones

Tell the company. They may find out one way or another anyway. You really won't get in trouble, it's just a small mistake on your part. I always slid to the 7th hole, always within bridge law and almost always distributes the weight evenly. They'll just tell you remember for next time!!! Lol. Be safe out there.

By the way, not being the spelling police, but it's spelled tandems. Lol. Just saying!!!!
Balakov100 and passion4polishing Thank this. -

Trucking is a job of habits. Get use to sliding them as part of the pick up process. You forgot, but most you see running down the road that way are plain lazy. It's a lot easier to turn corners and manuever in tight spots if the tandems are moved forward.

Here's a link for you to read up on it at: Bridge Formula Weights.
You will need a tape measure, get the 100 ft. roll-up tape type, and a magic marker so you can mark the spots on the trailer so you don't have to keep measuring while you make the adjustments. You can't go by holes, because every trailer is different.
Good Luck123456 Thanks this. -
Wanted to ask if u didn't realize the tandems was back when u turned corners?
-
it usually doesn't help to mark the trailer because you don't get the same trailer twice. if you do its been too long and it has faded.

I got a moving violation I reported to my company back in June I went to check my driving record and it doesn't show how common is that?
