Dallas T/A Parking Ticket

Be aware that they are handing out parking tickets at the T/A in Dallas.

I didnt want to block a fuel pump so I parked on the side next to the concrete wall behind several other trucks. I went inside to use the restroom and was right back out. Out of the truck MAYBE 5 minutes and found a parking ticket hanging on my mirror.

Said thats a fire zone and cost is $115 if paid within 10 days or $225 after 10 days.

Guess next time I wont be so concerned about blocking the fuel island when I gotta pee.

Just wanted to let y'all know not to park there even for just a minute.

 

Dallas PD issued the citation. I assume that it was a fire zone. I was too mad to look before I left and I wont go back since we dont use T/A anyway. I did look for the cop and s/he was no where to be found.

The ticket was my fault and Im not trying to blame anyone but myself... Like I said, I just hope that by posting my experience I can save someone else $115.

 

Ya know, more than 30 minutes and I can understand, but it was only 5 minutes! But I was wrong so now I gots to pay up.

 

Im not so sure that the curb was red. Im thinking that it MAY have had the red line painted a few feet from the curb.

Maybe I should swing by and look when I drive by in the morning BUT I will NOT stop!

 

The ONLY thing good about Gary, IN is the Philly Cheesesteak sammich from the sandwich shop next door to the T/A!!
