I got a training story for you.

Once upon a time a guy fresh out of school joined on with Roehl. He was sent to Ellenwood orientation for 8 whole days in which he passed.

He was assigned a trainer for 14 days.

    (he passed).

End of story. In my opinion the trainees you don't remember are the best ones. Uneventful, respectful, and safe. Great qualities.

Sad but true. Unless I have kept in contact the good ones I only remember the really bad students.

I will give you some personal advise. The orientation will teach you somethings that your trainer won't do. Like Roehl talks about stale green lights and if it turns red they rather you stop for it. Atleast that is what they taught in my orientation.

My trainer was 100% opposite. There is a point of no return for each light. You will learn it really fast. When that light turns yellow and your already there just keep the pedal down because if you are good at judging you will know what distance it takes for your truck to stop. So setting a point is crucial. Slamming on your brakes and skidding is considered loss of control. Be warned. You will make that mistake, and no you don't have to be speeding to make this mistake either

Yes sir know just what you mean, we work on these type of stops, and i had some real lights on the streets of Orlando, it depends on speed and situation

    Thanks, Pirate Trucker XOXX
