First of all, you have no credibility here. You have been a member for less than a month and 8 posts to your name. Who will listen to your garbage? You're just another J.B. Hunt hater.

Very amusing response, did not realize a question that simple could be taken as a critical remark.Perhaps you should think more about what your typing and the responses you may receive.

I understand stateing facts, but you have to present them well enough to get your point acrossed in a manner that makes sense.

ie, my room stank...well was it the room itself or your roommate? He a smoker or just BO. You had the option of paying $25 a night to room by yourself, instead of free if you shared. Your a man I'm gonna guess.. you expected to share a room with what.... a female, I would think SHE would have been raiseing Hades.

I know those lectures were boreing and repeatative but they did explain that each account pays different.

Your optional benifits are...well optional and with most companies are going to be high $. Try getting those benifits on your own and see how much they cost.

Are you saying your over all experience was bad and those are the things that made it bad?

Really the experience was not bad the lectures were very informative it was a mixture of ignorance, from other drivers, and misinformation, on the recruiters part. If they had told me i could pay the other half i would have. Also, if they were honest and upfront in the beginning that too would change the mood. But, if the recruiters continue to simply try to fill trucks with drivers and arent forthcoming then the turnover rate, as they explained was at 100 percent, will continue to grow and there will be even more reason for people to be decieved into these trucks creating a mean whirlwind of unfortunate events for the company as a whole. Higher losses for training, less qualified driver=more accidents, shorter training periods, and all this will eventually lead to pay cuts and more turnover. What i mean to say, if i could stop rambling, is honesty is key.... We put it all on the line to change companies and for that reason i feel strongly that people in the industry need to reevaluate the way they find, treat, and pay there new recruits. P.S. Sorry if it seems as though i am being rude trust me im not intending to bash the comp. simply documenting my own personal experience.

Well, not to bash you BUT!, I was called by JB HUNT today. First thing I did was go visit their website. There I learned that rooms would be SHARED and I could UPGRADE if I wanted to along with much more info. Then I came HERE and found this thread and see SOMEONE did not do their homework BEFORE going to school and posted in the BAD COMPANY form about JB HUNT and it really was because they did not do their own homework.

You see, I am new to trucking but not to life. I spent 20 years in the Navy and have been out since 1997. One thing I know is when people are recruiting, for anything, they may not tell you an out right lie, but they may ONLY tell you the good stuff. It happens. It is up to ME to do the research and to ask the questions I need answers for. The whole point of my post is this. Being new to TRUCKING, I depend on others views about a company. One or two negative posts about one company tells me someone just got a bad deal. A bunch about a company, with similar types of comments, tells me to move on.

They do still pay for orientation, lots of co's do not pay at all. Pay rates are based on driver demand more than anything else, as midwest drivers tend to get a better rate than SE and so on. Probably better to post once you've actually worked for them, and not gripe about some minor orientation issues, you'll probably be flamed.

ok so your opinion is yours mine is as it stands if you wanna max your hours out weekly and get paid 500 dollars then sure its excellent. I recently got out of the service myself but that has no relavence here in this industry (11 B U.S. Army)SSG), i also have a college degree but that too holds no relevance. look i know you all are so mad about this post but i just want everyone to see things for what they are. if you want to go to jb good luck but the main reason its bad is because they hire guys that have no idea what they are doing and they ruin the profit margin for the company as a whole. Meaning we all get less $$$$$$. It would not be bad if the money added up but there are many more jobs in the industry. No sweet off my back.

Very true, your opinion is YOUR opinion. I just want to know what part of your college educated mind has the audacity to inform others about the mis-management of this company? You just get to orientation and post in the BAD section? Seriously?

J.B. Hunt Transport Services 1 year Annual Total Return is currently 27%. 5 YR is over 16%.

If anyone made a bad decision I would say it's the JB guy that hired you. They need to send him for a drug screening. Just Sayin'
