My wife and I are looking for a good company to team up with and drive otr in midwest but with no mountains, thank you. We both have a Class A Cdl with all endorsements including hazmat and can go into Canada. I have a farming back ground with driving experience and have worked for the same company for 10 years as a supervisor. My wife has a bachelors degree in Business Management; both of us have graduated from truck driving school with 160 hours in the last 90 days. My son lost his job had so we had to deal with that. This may not be the normal post, but we need to find a good company to drive for. I am 51 and my wife is 32, we are not kids and are very reliable and are able to stay out for long periods. If someone or a recruiter has any information regarding a job, please post it!! Thank You

I remember a post from just a week or two ago where many were saying that husband wife team driving is very desirable to companies.

Your grass roots farming knowledge combined with your wife's business management knowledge will be a great money making package.

I would give this thread about a day or so and you will have many many suggestions.

Can the two of you tolerate being locked in a small bathroom (together) for 5 consecutive hours @ a time? Can you do that, take a 1 hour break and do it again and again and again? That's what running team is like. Are you able to sleep WELL in a moving vehicle? Not nap>sleep a solid 6 plus hours.

There is a huge demand for teams and it will continue to grow. Husband and wife teams are in the biggest demand because they already know each other, home time is easily planned vs a pair of drivers that don't live close to each other and there just isn't the territorial fights that non-married teams would suffer from.

The recruiters will be salivating over the pair of you. Because you won't run west of I-25 is not a barrier. They will set up switches for you if need be. A fleet won't let you slip through their hands especially with the credentials that the pair of you bring!

Good luck and make sure when you make a decision that you get the carriers agreement to stay east of I-25 in writing, Recruiters are prone to lieing to get bodies. Unless I had an e-mail from an operations manager or company owner I would have a hard time believing naything I was told by anyone else>expecially a recruiter and a dispatcher.

Are the two of you still looking for a job. What school did you attend
I may have a idea for you but would have to look into it. It would be a dedicated team run from stpaul to ohio and back
