reasons why the truck grind and jerks when trying to shift gears

I am guessing you are on the accelerator when you are letting out the clutch. That is causing the clutch to slip and there is the reason for you bucking. The grinding is because you are only partly in gear. If you are on the clutch your foot should be off the accelerator. Put pressure on the stick shift but it will fall into gear when the rpm's line up. The others have mentioned the rpms.

To remember which gear you should just remember the speeds. 5 mph 1 gear 10 2 gear. Every 5 miles per hour one more gear.

 

He has to double clutch we have no choice while in school period no exceptions they will fail your driving test if your caught floating. It's funny the next day after I passed everything they taught me how to float.

 

completely agree but in school you have to learn the double. first day with my trainer last year in a 2012 KW t700, came out of the yard double clutching and trainer asked what i was doing, shifting i said, he said, that pedal on the left, we dont use that pedal, ok! lol
