No ####! You'd have a hotel room right there with you at all times! Who in the right mind, that spends months at the time on the road, wouldn't wanna drive a truck like that?

The century/coronado/columbia conventionals share the same cab, and the COE Argosy shares the same components. Nothing but plastic interior with a aluminum shell held in place by a little glue in places and a few rivets in other places. Virtually no sound or thermal insulation. They bounce and rattle, interiour pannels fly loose at times and the noise requires the occupant/s to wear a helicopter crew helmet equipped with an intercom system for communication amongst other safety issues. LOLScania man and jardel Thank this.

That's their general strategy ! And sometimes new components come in along side older ones and gradually changed over, like right now there is a choice of chassis, a new type with 4 bag rear suspension or the older design with two bag suspension, you can spec either but I'd say the next model will be 4 bag design

i'll drink to that.

nice ,very nice ,where you come with all this man .why can we have something like that ?

Volvo still offers the best cab on the North American market to this day with the VN series. All though they didn't invent a 4point cab suspension yet, well, at least on this side of the pond, and there isn't any front axle air ride suspention that would actually allow you to keep the truck on the road, and.....should I go on?
Well, the othr thing is that the rear axle air ride has a desighn that when the ride height goes outside the 2" allowed travel, + or -, it throws the angles of the driveshaft out of whack, to the point that you'd think that the trany or the power divider or an rear end just got blown to pieces.
But wait! There's more! (geeweez, I sound like the infomercial on the TV)
The frame rails start to rust like a rotting carcass after the first encounter with road salt and/or calcium chloride they use in the winter as a road deicing agent.
Not sure if you have the same problem in Europe, but these are a few big problems we encouter here, besides the war we have to go through with the OEMs in order to force them to honor just a little bit of that waranty that they promiced you before you signed on the dotted line.
As far as the rest goes: Happy trails and hope that you don't go bankrupt this year! LOL
Well, next year you'll worry then......if you get there still in business! -
i now i have 670 stone age technology .going bankrupt i hope not .bat if keep going like this i don't know .right now i'm sitting in jackson,ga with no load .
-
Hey Scania man, I'd say that IT IS SMART for Scania to do that!
SCANIA all the way! -
Well buddy, I feel your pain! Trust me, I've been there!
All thogh I drive a 12 year old VN 770 and have no more paiments on aether truck or step deck trailer, there's always the isue of keeping an old truck running.
I ain't making money these days, but I've managed so far to stay afloat.
You're in GA with no load and I'm in CO with no load. What a coincidence! LOL
But I've also dedheaded so far from Alberta Canada down here. There's nothing worth while hauling that would pay decent anywhere in AB, MT, WY, ID, ND, SD, CO, UT.......and I think that I'll do what I've done before, and get going back into Texas and load another load for the oilfields in ND or AB.
Buddy, it is what it is, and if the big O gets reelected we just might kiss trucking goodbye and go stand in line at the welfare office!
My "beach bum" days might just be ahead of me. Maybe I should hurry up and get a place on a St. Padre Island beach before it's all full and I'll be stuck in Brownsville! LOLjardel Thanks this. -
i run refer 07 great dane super lt only 7800 hours and 06 volvo 670 owner op specs all equipment i paid in cash and it is very hard sometimes ,and yes it is what it is ,let's hope for the better ,other than that i really don't know.good luck to you.
