AH ok..how much do TMC drivers make Longhaul without the GI bill thing? I'm talking being home every 3-4 months, I'd like to average 60K a year gross.....52K take home :)

Wonder what happened to another TMC driver on here, Catfish or something like that. Think he was from North or South Carolina.

    (Sorry to go off topic)

Sorry, no idea. Mostly because there ain't no freakin' way I'd ever stay in a truck that long.

~$800 - $1200 a week gross seems to be the norm for most 'home every weekend' drivers that I've talked to anyway.

Just wondering , what are the rules as far as tattoos and piercing? I have tattoos on one of my forearms and earrings. I know the earrings aren't very professional ,but pretty common these days. Just thought I'd ask lol they said they will take me after I pass my test next week.

Going by what a TMC driver told me, the company doesn't permit any piercings. The ink is OK as long as it's not dubbed obscene or offensive. They're big on image. Let me rephrase that. You can get hired on with the piercings, you just can't wear anything in the holes. I'm old school ... had an earring back in the '70s when it wasn't that common and it was a sign of non-conformity in regards to the establishment. When the '90s rolled around and everyone and their brother started wearing them I took mine out and never put it back in. As far as the lip, tongue, eyebrow and uh, other appendages, I never understood the allure (shrug).

I was told that I should take my earrings out during orientation and training.

Official policy (according to orientation pdf) is hair no longer than collar-length and no ponytails/braids/dreads regardless of length. No mowhawks.

I asked about hair and piercing/tatt policy in another thread. I just got approved for orientation today and was sent additional info.
