The bar is yet undecided. The manager is looking for some private investors,so that should say something right there. No one will say for sure what is going to happen to the bar.Denny's wants the entire building from what I heard.I have a gut feeling that the Windbreak will not be around much longer. We will know for sure in the next couple of months.

The nights there is just one cashier on duty, showers are not taken care of.
There are 10 shower rooms.Maintenance gets as many as possible cleaned before 11pm.Then the cashiers take over. They do what they can.Hell of a lot of work for just two people, taking care of the store and restrooms and showers. The nights there is just one cashier there, showers are open until they are all used, then they are shut down until 5am.Does not take long to go through 10 showers. -
That's outrageous. But thanks for the information.
-
They should buy the old voting booths and set them up in the parking lot, 1 per space with a water hose hung over the top. It will do several things, like was all that discusting pee out of the parking lots, and give drivers faster access to the showers.
Showers used to be supplied as a courtesy. -
Turn the bar into a community bath, yeah now thats a site you would not soon forget.

Stayed at the J on 65 in Birmingham tonight. The new Denny's has taken over.
Half of what I wanted to order, "...we're out of that...".
Service was very poor, and I don't usually complain. They had too many servers for the amount of business, but they all just stood around and yakked.
Guess I should have known better than to order the Tilapia Rancheros. It was suppose to have Pico de Gallo on it, but only had some avacado and diced tomatoes. No seasoning of any kind.
Next time I'll just fix a peanut butter sandwich in the truck.HFC Thanks this. -
The restaurant at the Flying J here in Fargo,ND was closed for good about two weeks ago.Denny's backed out of the deal to buy the restaurant here so Pilot shut it down because it was loosing money. Now if a driver wants a meal they have to buy something from the deli at the store or go across the street to MacDonalds or Subway at Loves.
Pilot announced to the employees of the restaurant three weeks ago that they were shutting it down in one week, after that they would have no job.
Pilot did not offer the employees a job anywhere else like at the store. They said we are shutting this restaurant down and goodbye.
Pilot does not care about their employees. -

Back in 2000, stopped at a Denny's for a change from the crap at the truckstops. Not something to eat at all the time.
