Intellistick, anyone use it?

Noticed nobody answered this question that is old and maybe by now somebody has tried this product?

Seemed like a good idea (if it worked) and I was interested in trying one, but as best I can tell they are gone; some of their listed distributors can't get in touch with them, and their phone goes unanswered as of a few months ago.

I believe one distributor said they had some problems related to oil quality reporting, but I wasn't paying close attention after I was told they were out-of-business.

At least one distributor still has a unit he would like to part with, a couple of more sent me info on a similar product that was supposed to be coming to market. Let me know if you would like that info...

I have heard one of the OPS filter companies was going to maybe come out with something like this built into OPS unit.

They are to lazy and their elogs won't let them do it.

 

Because a bit of rag can't do oil analysis that is the reason most of us want this, but maybe reading comprehension is not your strong suit with being too lazy to read the entire specs......

 

too much soot in the oll. that should be evident by smoke out the exhaust.

metal chemicals in the oil. something is wearing down. and you should see particles in the3 oil.

antifreeze in the oil. that should be self explanatory.

yep, drivers are LAZY. they prefer a box becuase they can't fill out paper properly. and refiuse to use there brain to simpoe math.
just like they refuse to inspect there trailers and trucks. they prefer to TUG the trailer reahter then visually inspexct the brakes. and if they are out. they prefer to be put out of servie rather then adjust themselves. they won't replace tires. and they won't inspect there own oil.

drivers are lazy. they need there hands held.

just look at the threads. they are more worried about having a tv and ps3 on there truck then driving and making money.

todays' world is just lazy. course, that probably why we have all this technology in the first place. TO DO YOUR JOB.

 

What are "metal chemicals in the oil"? If you mean metal particals then its to late to worry about anything if you can see them on the dipstick. And you can have soot levels in the oil that are to high and not be blowing a bunch of smoke out the stack.

 

i would think that if your not smoking. your burning pretty clean and wouldn't have soot.

mine smokes just a teeeny bit. but still no soot.

metal checmicals i'm talking about the copper or whatever it is that rutherford talks about that indicate worn bearings.
again mine came out clean. but since i have low oil pressure i would have to assume the bearings are worn out. don't know why id idn't have them replaced when the oil pan gasket got replaced.
