Metropolitan trucking

I love listening to guys like this. They are the real Tommy Truckers who are content to drive a big shiny rig, because it's nicer than the home they live in, and care not a whit about life outside the truck. As long as they can drive 8000 miles per week and brag to everyone that they have accumulated 20,000,000 miles in 3 years, they are happy. Doesn't matter if they have made a bundle for the company for whom they work, while earnings peanuts for themselves. Doesn't matter if the wife left because she hadn't seen here husband for weeks or months at a time. Nope. The measure of a REAL truck driver is to live, day and night, in a truck...

 

yeah,..no real truckers anymore just steering wheel holders...blahblahblah. never really had what that means explained to me. Pop pills and drive 4 days straight? Keep 3 log books running at all times? Miss every important day at home because you are on the road? Dodge scales with overweight/illegal loads? Ask me and I'm glad days like that are coming to a complete and abrupt end.

C'mon people...Please take pride in yourself before posting and learn some basic english and grammar. If this is what we have in our industry, then we deserve everything we get.

 

Goaldiggers, could you comment on the discussion instead of trying to be an english and grammer teacher? I highly doubt that you are a harvard graduate. This is a board for truck drivers, not english teachers. You come on here and type eleven words bashing improper grammer, and in the process you use slang "C'mon" and throw periods everywhere. You have been a member since June with 4 posts, and 2 of them are critisizing other posts. Grow up
