I would be afraid getting woke up by an officer. Also if someone coming onto the exit happens to hit you, who's fault do you think it will be?

You do have to use your better judgement as to where you shut down or park. I do recommend that if its on a ramp that you are on the "on" side instead of the "off" side. There is the chance of getting woke up by a an officer but is often rare especially if you use some good judgement as to where you park.

I parked on a ramp only for a quick second to see where the next truck stop was because and was'nt even a minute an officer shows up and says this is for emergengy vehicles only.I could write you a $200.00 ticket but i'll let it go.

Well, like I said, you have to use a little common sense and if your company prohibits it then don't do it.

My company before this one could care less where we parked. But I always took my btk at trk stops and rest areas just to be on the safe side.Anything I hate is to get woke up.

You don't leave your head lights on when you're parked, come on now.

Why didn't you just keep driving only 35 miles to a truck stop?

running team we rarely parked...sometimes tho there IS NO PLACE CLOSE TO PARK...now i know thats not the case here....and of course if co policy of that state says no...then you shouldnt...but we all know that the truck stops start filling up BEFORE dark..and the rest areas arent far behind...true he should have planned better...but we were all new at one time....
