Hii all, love the COE flatbeds, great thread & thanks to the OP and others for the picks. I'm getting back in after a long time away and really love the flattop coe trucks, a misplaced dillusional romantic fantasy perhaps?
Anyhoo- the K100E 110" is about the longest cab I've seen so what model is the Pete (I think) in the first pic? Any advice on where to search? Not in a big hurry so I can almost spec a classic for what I want.
Love to hear from other relic's like myself and thanks again for these pics.

Joe Mustang's old H-model Mack. Went through several iterations, eventually getting a 1693 CAT for motivation, he ran the truck for year's, in fact, it outlasted his own driving career. For all of the wannabe trucker's out there, Joe Mustang was about as real a trucker as you could get, if it fit on the trailer it was loaded. The man has always dressed in black.

The truck is currently owned by Dan Thomas (not of Wendy's fame), and is being kept original as Joe built it.

The truck also had 8-inch exhaust long before anyone had thought of it.

it would be good to mention it is the only truck joe ever owned. he started driving it right out of the military and drove well into his 80's. same truck, he juwt rebuilt it as needed.

Hey I resemble that remark! i cut my teeth in some of those trucks and that was when trucking was trucking, it was more than just a job! You did what you had to to get down the road, helped each other out both o/o and company drivers, cooked out on weekends, road hard all week could sleep on the back of your trailer in the warmer months(no a/c) driver spoke to each other and helped each other out. BOY I MISS THAT!
Just a bit of imput from RUST,CRUSTY and DUSTY drive not old a bit! just need to shake the road dirt of a bit and i still shine!

    Nice pictures

I hate it when you see the aero trucks pulling a flat, it just looks stupid.

Saw a Pete 362 (I think) pulling a nicely tarped flat, I-86 eastbound wednesday, near Cuba NY. Made my day. Sorry- no chance for a pic.

Going by the red plastic bug shield I'll guess 1985. Those things were popular through the late 80s. I always thought they looked chintzy, even on my Mack trash truck!
