So here I am

Hey, another noob, sorta. Figured I'ld do it proper and stop in here to say HI ! I drove tanker many years ago (Texas fields) and left to be an automotive tech (dumb idea) so 25+ years later I'm returning to what I enjoy- driving.

Physical & drug test monday, permit test Tues or Thurs, class starts Mon 24th-4 weeks long all seat time. looking to grab a local gig in dumps, log or water trucks till I can do more research and get some 'speriance. I would love to have my own truck but need to shop the market for work in my area. I'm trying to avoid the megacarriers and the possibilty of never being home. Can it be done? Having read hundreds of threads here I believe it can.


Lot's of good info from some smart people on here, sorting the BS is pretty easy. It is a very good forum and I'm glad I'm here. I'll always listen to advice too, I may not take it but I'll listen!
