I am so anxious to put my deposit in for the next MTI in Cartersville, that i forgot today is Labor Day. :biggrin_25523:

When does the next class start?

My physical is done and passed, and all i have remaining to complete is the written tests for the CDL permit, and any shopping for those three weeks.

You all have been a huge influence in my decision to pursue Millis as my first company in the industry. Every thread, the good and the (very little) bad, has made me extremely confident in my decision, and i cant wait to meet every one of you. :biggrin_25514:

Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend!

Sure have. And I answered my own question

Yesterday, I gave them another call, and registered for the September 17th class in Cartersville.
Im continuing to study my manual, but the permit and physical are out of the way. Now, once the shopping is done, I play the waiting game.

Thanks! I saw a Millis truck this morning west of Atlanta; truck 8108, I believe. Made me even more excited to hit the range in a couple weeks. It just can't get here fast enough :biggrin_25523:

I trained with Greg several years ago -you'll enjoy it. Just understand the lot is a "dust bowl" so be ready for dust on everything and I do mean everything! LOL

Good luck and keep us posted!

    Oh, boy!

Im getting the last few things packed, then I'll be headed to the hotel. I'm only about an hour away, so I'm trying not to rush too much. With a class of 15+, what are the chances of getting my own room if I ask for one?

    Half way through day one!

I finally got to the hotel around 11:00 pm, and had no problem getting a room. I do, however, have a roommate. Just as i expected, he is a great guy.

We've been doing paper work most of the morning. And i do mean MOST of the morning. The time not spent filling in the blanks, we spent discussing the paperwork. I need excitement!

David is a great instructor so far. Greg was supposed to join him, but we were told that he is out for surgery today. Something about his eyes? Who knows.

I'll try and post again after we let out for the day. For now, its time to head back from lunch!
