I like 395. Some nice scenery with the Sierras on the way down.

That's without a doubt my preferred route when coming down out of Idaho.

Once again I thank everyone for the input. Looks like were off now on tues and looking forward to the ride after everyone's comments. I also like the "less traveled routes" and doing something new. Thanks for all the Help!

The Eastern Sierra's are boring? Really? I don't think so. That run up 395 to Reno is one of the best runs in the US for scenery. Beautiful mountains, 13,000ft elevation mountains, streams, wild creatures, even wild burros! STexan, I hope I see you out there.

My company is based in Hood River Oregon. We have customers in East L.A. area. We go down 97, 139, 299, 395, 80, 95, 360, 395, etc. It is way smoother than I-5 and 99 in Taxifornia. Much eaiser on the equipment, and a lot less stressfull. And the speed limit is 70. I do 75 and have never had a problem. I hate Calif and go "the back way" whenever possible.
