So basically, I'm going to be going one on one with a company trainer for 2-4 weeks. Do they usually run out to wally world or something so I can pack some frozen dinners and snacks? Or how does that all work?

Ask your trainer when you get one. They are all different.
-
just take some M.R.E'S haha
-
Ramen cup noodles, cheese & crackers, cold cuts, chef boyardee, dinty moor packages, and case of bottled water.... after you ask your trainer. You can make mosst of this at the T/S in the store. saves tons of $$$

At the very least, carry some crackers and beans with you. This will get you thru a hunger bout that you will have sooner or later, usually at a shipper located in the woods someplace miles from any Jack/box. Be careful about storing too much perishable stuff on the truck, because, you might switch trainers.

On the mini-meals, I'm sure it depends on who it is ... but how many times will we usually be stopping at a T/S during the day? Should I stock up all my meals for the day at our first stop? -
Bring $$ ... Then ask your trainer what they would prefer... You will be staying in their home. Hopefully they will have some room in the fridge ... If not there is shelve ready to eat foods that will sustain you. Of course there is always the lovely, expensive T/S food to fall back on.

it all depends on the trainer and what he allows you to have. my trainer i had ( back in '97)had a cooler and would stop once a week for food. i mostly boughrt cold cuts, bread, cereal, snacks and drinks that would last a week.he rarely stopped at resteraunts.

I would bring some snacks like granola, dried fruit, trail mix. You know, small stuff you can easily fit in your bag. Peanut butter etc... Once you get with your trainer talk it over with them and form your food plan of attack. Typically your trainer is supposed to be taking care of you. They should at least be buying you dinner. After all you are making them a lot of money. They should also be getting your showers for you. If they aren't, speak up!
While you are with your trainer depending on what they want to do you may want to just go with the flow. You may find eating out will work better while you are training. There won't be a lot of room in the truck to stock a lot of groceries and such and if your trainer is 350lbs+ he just may insist all three meals be eaten at the truck stop! Whatever.... its only a few weeks, try to choose some of the healthier stuff. Subway's are all over now and they have a pretty good selection of non-grease! Actually I eat very healthy while on the road and usually grab a subway meal once a week. Doesn't even cost me anything. You can use your points on your pilot/flyinJ card to pay for food at whatever restaurant they are hosting at that location.
